Afternoon Soak Flan Build Guide
Here’s a no-nonsense, up-to-date build for Afternoon Soak Flan (Fire Ranger, limited)
What she actually does (so you build her right)
- Always crits on all damaging skills (S1/S3), so you can essentially ignore Crit Chance and pump ATK / Crit DMG / Speed.
- S3: Single-target nuke + 2-turn DEF Break and +20% team CR push; Soulburn makes the DEF Break ignore Effect Resistance. 5t CD → 4t when mola’d.
- S2 (passive): Starts with 3 Focus, gains huge Evasion (50% + 50% when Focus ≥1) and Dual Attacks whenever an ally uses a basic attack, also self +25% CR (15% pre-mola on some sites). This sustains tempo and procs off ally basics.
Optimal gear sets (ranked by real usage & win rate)
1) Destruction / Penetration — highest RTA win rate among popular builds (≈55.9%). Pure delete button; pairs perfectly with guaranteed crits.
2) Speed / Penetration — second most used; trades some burst for turn cycling and easier soulburn uptime on S3.
3) Lifesteal / Penetration — common alternative for sustain on longer fights; slightly lower WR but comfortable into chip damage.
(Niche: Counter/Riposte variants exist but see lower pick/WR overall.)
Mainstats: Necklace Crit DMG% | Ring ATK% | Boots Speed. (Crit Chance not needed.)
Stat targets (practical, data-driven)
- ATK: ~4.0k+ (Fribbels avg 4326).
- Crit DMG: 300–340% (Fribbels avg 326%).
- Speed: 180–200 (Fribbels avg 191; RTA “stat priorities” show ~166+ even at lower tiers).
- Bulk: ~12–13k HP / ~1.1–1.2k DEF as a baseline.
- Effectiveness: 0–30% if you plan to Soulburn S3 for ER ignore; otherwise aim ~20–30% to land non-burn DEF Breaks. (Fribbels/RTA aggregates updated Sep 20, 2025.)
Best artifacts (clear winner)
- Dreamlike Holiday (Ranger) — BiS. Flat Crit DMG% and, when she attacks off-turn (e.g., from her passive dual attacks), chance to self ATK-buff before the hit; at max, it’s +30% Crit DMG and 100% ATK-up proc. It’s also by far the most used (≈91% on Fribbels; ~100% of its RTA usage is on her). Back-ups if you lack it: Bloodstone (utility sustain), Guiding Light (stealth cheese, much lower performance on her).
Skill & mola priority (cheap and effective)
- S3 → +3 (get the -1 CD at +3 first).
- S2 → +5 (more CR on each trigger).
- S1 → +3 (extra damage & stun chance).
Imprint
- Concentration: ATK% (great for her own scaling).
- Team (Release): HP% (solid generic aura).
Sample finished statlines (pulled from live aggregates)
- Destruction/Pen nuke: ~4.2–4.6k ATK / 320–370% CD / 150–170 Spd / 12–14.5k HP / ~1.0–1.2k DEF / 0–30% Eff.
- Speed/Pen tempo: ~3.9–4.3k ATK / 290–330% CD / 180–200 Spd / similar bulk / 0–24% Eff. (Reflects current Fribbels averages + RTA set picks.)
Why these builds work
- Guaranteed crits let you dump Crit Chance and shift rolls into CD/ATK/Speed.
- Pen set multiplies her S3 and off-turn S1 damage.
- Dreamlike Holiday turns her frequent off-turn dual attacks into consistent ATK-buffed hits, further snowballing.
Quick team tips
She loves allies who use basics often (to trigger her S2 dual attacks) and comps that can feed souls for S3 Soulburn (guaranteed DEF Break). Pair with units that supply CR push / soul generation or force basic attacks; avoid teams that rely on non-attack skills into evasion counters. (Mechanics & Soulburn from kit.)

Imagine this:
The sun is heavy in the sky, the ocean glitters like melted glass, and on the shoreline sits Flan—but not in her usual officer’s uniform. Instead, she’s traded in her seriousness for a lazy afternoon dip, towel wrapped around her shoulders, her usual edge softened by warmth and mischief. Yet even here, by the water’s edge, she’s dangerous.
Afternoon Soak Flan is like a predator disguised as a tourist. She looks carefree, but when the time comes, she strikes with precision. Her third skill is the equivalent of her tossing away her drink, standing up from her chair, and hurling a devastating strike that tears through defenses while rallying her allies forward. Every hit always lands as a critical, as if her aim never wavers—even under the blinding sun. Enemies can’t count on luck to save them; every shot stings, every blow cripples.
But her real cunning is hidden in her passive. She plays the game of evasion, slipping out of reach like a playful splash that never seems to hit. Allies’ simple attacks coax her into action, and with each opening she joins in with follow-ups, casually shredding foes with off-hand strikes. It’s like she’s never idle—every turn in the fight feels like she’s there, dipping in and out like waves crashing against the shore.
Her nature is dual: a merciless executioner cloaked in playful summer relaxation. Build her for power, and she becomes the cannonball dive—explosive, unignorable, decisive. Build her for speed, and she’s the tide itself—slipping in and out, overwhelming through tempo and relentless pressure. Her artifact, Dreamlike Holiday, reflects this perfectly: what looks like leisure is really preparation for another devastating strike, every “playful” moment doubling as a setup for a lethal blow.
Afternoon Soak Flan isn’t just a damage dealer. She’s the embodiment of deceptive ease: relaxed on the surface, lethal underneath. A vacationer who never truly put her weapon down.
